Dating Positives / #WeNeedAButton

Queer people often have no way of knowing whether or not their healthcare provider is queer-friendly until they have a negative experience

We helped solve that problem by advocating for a “button” on healthcare and patient-matching sites indicating queer-friendly physicians. Then we harnessed social media to encourage people do what they love most: show off. Instead of signing a petition, we asked everyone to post a “belfie” (a butt selfie) in solidarity, using the hashtag #WeNeedAButton.

We then brought the story to media, partners and medical provider and payer groups.
